[C]onsiderably more nuanced and mature than your typical relationship drama, it’s the story of a marriage that ended almost entirely out of the blue after the couple had been together for 29 years.

Rating: 2.5/4 -- Always lovely to see Bening and Nighy, always a warm delight to set some of this tug of war on the pebbly beaches, rocky crags and chalky cliffs. Full Review

Rating: 4.5/5 -- Films about marriages cratering on the craggy shores of deceit and betrayal are as common as oxygen, but one that makes as big an emotional impact as "Hope Gap" is a breath of fresh air. Full Review

After being married for 29 unhappy years, Edward (Bill Nighy) decides that it is high time that he and his wife, Grace (Annette Bening), separate.
