Description by OLDIES.com:
Secretary Helen Rogers dreams of going to Hollywood to live the good life. She rejects her old beau, Jim Morgan, an aspiring writer and hotel clerk who still loves her, and allows herself to be wooed by Don, a cad in the advertising business. Unbeknownst to her, Jim meets a studio exec and gets her a screen test. But not everyone has Helen's best interests at heart. Don wants to take her away from the limelight, and will stop at nothing to sabotage her rise to fame.
Marion Nixon starred as Rebecca in the film adaptation of Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm (1932) with Ralph Bellamy, and she appeared in Winner Take All (1932) with James Cagney. Co-star Kane Richmond was a charismatic leading man that went on to play a dual role in the very popular serial, Spy Smasher (1942).
