Polygon
4 stars out of 4 -- [A] frontier story which captures the harsh realities and simple pleasures of a life built painstakingly from rock, wood, and soil...
RogerEbert.com
[A] very intimate examination of friendship that feels both oppressively minute and, at moments, downright sweeping, taking in the landscape of a brave new world while interrogating its cruel, false promises.
The Atlantic
This is John Magaro’s show, turning in a superbly modulated turn as a gentle sad-sack with a gift.
Empire
[I]t’s couched in an always playful anti-macho mood of laconic going-with-the-flow, while subverting the clichés of westerns. Its use of detail the paraphernalia of pioneer existence -- is exquisite.
Sight and Sound
[A] work of remarkable beauty and startling complexity.”

Rating: 4/5 --
The most mesmerizing and gentle movie I have seen this year. A great production for a simple, yet relevant story. [Full review in Spanish]
