Description by OLDIES.com:
The tyrannical despot Dakar rules oppressively over his kingdom. Fatima, a beautiful princess, is abducted to Dakar's harem, but she manages to escape to a poor village, where a young fisherman named Nadir finds her adrift in a canoe. She and Nadir fall in love, but she is soon captured by Dakar's troops. Fueled by his love for Fatima, Nadir plans to rescue her and defeat the tyrant.
Rik Battaglia's film debut was in Mario Soldati's The River Girl (1954), starring Sophia Loren. He went on to appear in movies such as Sodom and Gomorrah (1962) and Nightmare Castle (1965). Gianna Maria Canale was cast in several campy Italian films during the 1950s and 1960s, including Lust of the Vampire (1956) and Hercules (1958), and usually played seductresses and princesses. Italian director Tanio Boccia helmed a number of historical action/adventure movies, including Caesar the Conqueror (1962) and The Revenge of Ivanhoe (1965); he was often credited as Amerigo Anton.
