Art - Jackson Pollock - Love and Death on Long Island

Jackson Pollock's chaotic paintings were some of the most exciting, most important works of art in the 20th Century. The wild brush strokes and purposefully spilled splotches of paint became the characteristics of his legendary genius. An enigmatic figure in the art world, Pollock became an overnight national sensation when he was featured in LIFE magazine brooding in front of some of what would become his most famous pieces. This documentary studies the eccentric artist, his paintings, and his personal life. Among those interviewed are Pollock's lover, Lee Krasner, and Ed Harris, whose participation in this project coincided with his own filming of a biopic on Pollock.
