[A]lthough Stanfield and Kaluuya offer up two compelling -- and contrasting -- performances, JUDAS AND THE BLACK MESSIAH is an ensemble piece with no weak links, only secret weapons.
A.V. Club
Rating: 3.5/5 --
The "big picture" question of the Panthers' political aims, and what relevance they might have for today, is not so fully explored. But taken both literally and as a parable, the film says a good deal about how society forces people into roles.

The Age (Australia)
Daniel Kaluuya is so far ruling the best supporting actor race with his powerful portrayal of Illinois' Black Panther Party leader Fred Hampton in Shaka King's 1960s-set thriller.
USA Today

Daniel Kaluuya and LaKeith Stanfield give a matched pair of phenomenal performances in JUDAS AND THE BLACK MESSIAH.
Wall Street Journal
Rating: 4/5 --

Rating: 4/5 --
This is a film made with a sense of outrage; although the events occurred so long ago, the ramifications that they led to are clearly still being felt in the US.

Product Description:
William O'Neal (LaKeith Stanfield) is an FBI agent tasked with infiltrating the Illinois Black Panther Party to keep an eye out for Fred Hampton (Daniel Kaluuya), the group's charismatic leader. As a career thief, he finds joy in manipulating the people he works for, especially his handler Special Agent Roy Mitchell (Jesse Plemons). But as Fred attracts more people and gains more political power, William is faced with a difficult decision: stay loyal to his comrades and thwart Fred and the Black Panther Party, or side with the enemy and align with the forces of good. Directed by Shaka King.
