Product Description:
Along with Eddie Jefferson who he cited as a major influence, King Pleasure became famous as a master of vocalese; a style of jazz singing whereby words are set to a famous instrumental solo. King Pleasure first achieved wide popularity by singing "Moody's Mood For Love" based on James Moody's saxophone solo on "I'm In The Mood For Love". Released in 1952, "Moody's Mood For Love" became a jazz classic. This vintage 1960 solo album finds King Pleasure at his finest and features the classics "Moody's Mood For Love," and "Parker's Mood." All selections newly remastered.
