Robbie Mychals One Mile from Paradise [Single]

Starting out in the late 1960's as a group called The Superbs, which was the sister group of the popular male group The Superlatives, Retta Young And The Devotions first recorded on Silver Dollar Records and then for famed producer Paul Kyser on Wanderik. Retta Young is the wife of Al Goodman of Moments fame, and later Ray, Goodman & Brown. Paul Kyser was the one who introduced Ray to Retta. On Retta's self titled album for Wanderik, presented here, Paul Kyser wrote, produced and arranged all the tracks. Originally released in 1977, the album contains many memorable moments including the infectious “I Put A Spell On You” and “The Saga Of Willie Jones.” The original LP has gone on to become a highly collectible album in rare groove circles. All selections have been newly remastered.
