Jon Lord Blues Project (Live)

In 2010, a proposal from Pete York (Spencer Davis Group, Hardin & York) brought together Jon Lord for a special concert titled the Rhythm & Blues Allstars. This meeting led to an incredible musical connection, resulting in the birth of the Jon Lord Blues Project. Comprising six accomplished musicians, these long-time friends trace their roots back to the '60s and '70s, boasting an impressive collective musical history that reads like a 'Who's Who' of blues and rock legends: Deep Purple, Spencer Davis Group, Chris Rea, Whitesnake, and more.

The monumental collaboration was captured during the Rottweil Jazz Festival in 2011. Jon Lord, alongside Miller Anderson, Maggie Bell, Colin Hodgkinson, Zoot Money, and Pete York, took the stage. Together, they delivered a mesmerizing performance encompassing classic blues tracks and contemporary compositions, including renditions of songs by Deep Purple and Tom Waits. The result was a fusion of timeless blues heritage and the energy of the present, brought to life by a group of seasoned musical talents.
