Hildegard von Bingen: In Portrait

HILDEGARD VON BINGEN: IN PORTRAIT tells the story of a woman who was 'first' in many areas during her lifespan, from 1098 to 1179. She is the first woman composer about whom any biographical matter is known, and she also wrote major works in the fields of theology and visionary writings. This program presents her musical morality play entitled ORDO VIRTUTUM on DVD one. Disc two presents documentary material, interviews and galleries of Hildegard's mystical artwork.
