2011 album from the Russian-born DJ and producer and his Electric project. This is modern Soul music taken to the next level. Think back to Soul 2 Soul, Loose Ends, Cameo, and a Tribe Called Quest, but throw in some Moody Man, Fat Freddie's Drop, and Sa-RA, and you will be in the ball park. It's got big drums, cranking vintage synthesizer and Moog's, dark moody passages, upbeat moments and some straight up bugged out-ness too. Music from the heart whether it's sung or rapped or spoken. This isn't a throwback sound to the '70's or '80's. From Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix to Miles Davis, Vadim has moulded a futuristic, next level amalgam of their fire to create the warmth in your chest when you hear a song that speaks to you.
