This would-be cult item runs out of steam after its establishes its wickedly satirical premise. Full Review

Rating: C+ -- The results may get muddled when tonal shifts are forced, but Eddie nonetheless entertains with enough originality to forgive its otherwise familiar tropes. Full Review

Rating: B -- Beneath the surface outrageousness lies a surprisingly, satisfyingly dark little fable about the essentially cannibalistic nature of artistic inspiration. Full Review

Rating: 3/5 -- A flawed but diverting meditation on finding inspiration while losing your soul.

Rating: 3/4 -- Despite the theme, "Eddie" goes easy on gratuitous gore. What we get is a cerebral horror movie and a satire of the art world. Full Review

Rating: 2.5/5.0 -- Boris Rodriguez's movie sadly ends up being neither an effective horror movie nor a memorable satire. It just kind of, pardon me for going there, sleepwalks through its clever set-up. Full Review

While the film never quite manages to go deeper than a superficial tongue-in-cheek trifling, there are enough oddly fascinating elements to sustain interest. Full Review

Product Description:

When Lars' art dealer Ronny arranges a teaching job in a small town as a "therapeutic measure" to stir up his creative juices, things don't quite turn out as planned. At first, life in the peaceful town seems rosy, as he settles in and impresses beautiful colleague Leslie by taking in the brawny, mute Eddie after his caregiver passes away. Lars soon discovers that the facade of serenity hides something unimaginable Eddie suffers from a rare form of sleepwalking that transforms him from a docile, cereal-obsessed art student into a ravenous cannibal. Initially horrified by Eddie's dark secret, Lars becomes enthralled by the not-so-gentle giant: At long last, here's the muse he'd been searching for!
