When Fuzzy Q. Jones (Al St. John) refuses to sell his water rights to Jim McCallister (Steve Darrell), McAllister frames him for the murder of Slade (George Chesebro), one of his gang of rabble-rousers, even though Slade is still alive. Complicating matters further, Fuzzy's bride-to-be joins forces with McCallister to collect on Fuzzy's estate once he goes to the gallows. Luckily, Fuzzy's friend, Billy (Buster Crabbe), is on to the scheme.

GENTLEMEN WITH GUNS is an installment in the 'Billy Carson' series of cowboy movies that starred Buster Crabbe. In this film, Carson must help out his friend Fuzzy who has just inherited some farmland and needs some help from some neighbors who are a bit too excited to get their hands on Fuzzy's land. With some land to his name, Carson must help Fuzzy figure out who are his friends and who are his enemies.
