Nubox Next Twist

NuBox are said to present the music of the future. Jazzy trumpet lines and driving dance grooves were their trademarks back in the '80s when this band (then known as Blue Box) set the scene for the Acid Jazz movement. After a recording break of 10 years the trio returned to the CD shops in 2004 under their new name nuBox and with a very electronic, computer-based new release Sonic Screen. While promoting Sonic Screen with a series of live gigs, nuBox started a stage cooperation with Berlin-based DJ Illvibe, a well known collaborator of Seeed, Lychee Lassi and other current projects. in early 2006 the four of them started a three-week concert tour through Southern Asia presenting their unique mix of electronic beats, speaking trumpet, sound bits from old records and grooving bass and drums.
