Product Description:

Two CD collection. As a teenager, Bo Diddley was an active amateur boxer. Later, he took violin lessons and he built his own guitar. With two friends, he formed his first band, the Hipsters. The band played some concerts in Chicago and got quite popular. He was one of the most underestimated spin doctors of the development from the Blues/Rhythm & Blues to the Rock & Roll. Also, the shapes of his guitars were path breaking. Diddley and his label mate Chuck Berry were huge influences for British beat bands in the 60s, nevertheless, only a few songs charted in Europe. British bands like the Rolling Stones, the Animals, Spencer Davis Group, the Kinks or Manfred Mann covered versions of Bo Diddley songs in the beginning of their career. Doc.
